This program begins with circuit alpamayo trek-one of the treks more popular in Peruvian Andes, and we will have the opportunity of climbing to the mountain Alpamayo (5947m), and back to huaraz.


Day 01: Lima: Welcome at the Airport and Transfer to Hotel Lima

Day 02: Travel to Huaraz (3100m) by bus takes 8 hours. Hotel Huaraz

Day 03: Huaraz. Acclimatization day hikes Laguna Churup (4450m)
by bus Pitec at 3,950m, and Hike Lake at 4,450m, and return to Huaraz.

Day 04: Huaraz / Transfer to Hualcayan Camp (2900mt) Camp
On the way we have visits to Yungay where there is a memorial to the thousands of people killed in the 1970 earthquake, and then the colourful local market at Caraz. aproximately 4 hours as transport private, and camp in hualcayan

Day 05: Hualcayan / Trekking to Wishcash Camp (4300mt) Camp

Climb steadily in a zig zag path from Hualcayan to Wishcash 4300m.4 to 5 hours hiking

Day 06: Wishcash / Trekking to Ruina Pampa Camp (3800mt) Camp
Cullicocha 4850m, then cross the first pass Paso Osoruri 4750m. A long descent to camp at Ruinapampa 3800m 7 to 8 hours hiking

Day 07: Ruina Pampa / Trekking to Cruze Alpamayo Camp (4150mt) Camp
An easy walk to reach Cruse Alpamayo, 2 hours walking and relax all time

Day 08: Cruze Alpamayo / Pass Cara Cara (4830m) / Sajuna Camp (4200m) Camp
Climb to the often windy pass Cara Cara 4830m from where we have more fantastic views of Alpamayo and the lakes, and then traverse to another pass Mesapata 4500m and before descending to camp Safuna 4200m 6 a7 hours hiking

Day 09: Sajuna / Trekking Paso Pucajirca (4600m) / Jancapampa Camp (3600mt) Camp
From Safuna to another pass Paso Pucajirca (4600m) and camp in the open grassy valley of Jancapampa 3600m 7 hours hiking. There are a lot of farming families living in the valley.

Day 10: Jancapampa / Trekking to Laguna Huecrococha Camp (3950m) Camp

We pass by many adobe farm houses, sheep, cattle and horses while climbing up to the pass Pass Tupatupa 4400m and descend to camp beside the small lake Laguna Huecrococha (3950m). 6 a 7 hours hiking

Day 11: Laguna Huecrococha / Pass Alto de Pucaraju (4650m) / Paria Camp (4200mt) Camp

Pass Alto de Pacaraju 4650m from where we have breathtaking views of the mountain Taulliraju, then a steep descent to camp in a lovely quiet valley at Paria (4250m). 6 a 7 hours hiking

Day 12: Paria / Trekking Punta Union Pass (4750m) / Taullipampa Camp (4250m) / Alpamayo Base Camp (4300m) Camp

Day 13: Reserve or rest day in Alpamayo Base Camp (4200m) Camp

Day 14: Alpamayo Base Camp / Ascend to Alpamayo Moraine Camp (4600mt) Camp
From base camp, the route takes a moraine ridge and crosses rock slabs across the edge of the glacier to reach an area of tent platforms (3 hours). This camping area is very limited and we may opt to climb all the way to Col camp in one day.

Day 15: Moraine Camp / Ascend to Alpamayo High Camp (5300mt) Camp
The route above moraine camp continues over ice and moraine before a 300-metre snow couloir leads to the Col between Alpamayo and nearby Quitaraju (6,040m). This section can sometimes be the most technical and difficult part of the route. After gaining the col, there is a short descent to reach high camp.

Day 16: High Camp / Ascend to Alpamayo Summit (5947mt) / High Camp (5300mt) or Descent to Base Camp (4200m) Camp
Alpamayo Summit Day Depart from camp at 2:00am and head to the steep summit wall, which offers 360 meters of fun technical climbing to the summit. Camp in the high Camp or descend base camp

Day 17: Base Camp / Descent through Quebrada Santa Cruz / Cashapampa / Transfer to Huaraz Hotel Huaraz
We trek out to Cashapampa and then return to Huaraz.Time to relax after the climbing and celebrate.

Day 18: Lima: Trip to Lima and Arrive in the Afternoon and Transfer to Hotel Lima

Day 19: Lima-Airport: Shopping, and in the Afternoon Transfer to Airport
